Annual Backflow Testing
Magic Valley, Idaho

State-mandated annual testing by a licensed Backflow Assembly Tester. Allen handles the test, certification, and city paperwork — one call, done.

Why Testing Is Required

Backflow preventers protect your city's drinking water from contamination. When irrigation system pressure drops — from a burst main, fire hydrant use, or pipe break — water can flow backward through your backflow assembly and into the public water supply.

Idaho law and most Magic Valley city ordinances require annual testing by a licensed Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) to verify these assemblies are working properly.

Allen is licensed under Idaho DOPL and submits all test reports directly to your city water authority. You do nothing after the call but stay on the water.

What Happens During a Test

1

Allen arrives at your property

No need to be home in most cases — Allen just needs access to the backflow preventer, usually at the meter or hose bib.

2

Differential pressure gauge test

Allen uses calibrated test equipment to measure the pressure differential across the assembly check valves and relief valve.

3

Pass or fail recorded

If the assembly passes, Allen fills out the official test report. If it fails, he'll explain the repair options on the spot.

4

City submittal done for you

Allen submits your test results directly to the city water authority — Twin Falls, Jerome, Gooding, wherever you are. You get a copy.
